CAMP DAY 1
Well up to a really nice clear and calm day. Busy tidying then packing the car to get up the coast on time ready to meet all the kids. With it just being me, I didn't get pressured into getting everything done on time, and I managed to do it anyway. House tidy, all washing done, car packed and on the road before 11.30am.
Got lunch for me and Alex and all the gear from her grandparents house, then to the beach house to unpack and wait. First lot began arriving just after 3pm, and the last around 6pm. Short jog around the block then dinner.
Jane arrived after coming back from Christchurch about 8.30 and then a quick chat and early to bed. Kids being kids, they chatted and finally got to sleep about 11.30pm. They'll pay tomorrow.
Things seem to be going really well at the moment, tomorrow will tell.
I have suffered from depression for a very long time, probably since I was a teenager. I have struggled with many aspects of my life to do the right thing, make the right choices etc. and now I am trying to be better. I acknowledged I had depression and did nothing about it. It took someone who I deeply respected to tell me they too had depression and they got medical to help, to finally seek actual real help. I am now and finally making real progress. Don't wait to get help!
