Ironman Prep Day 42 Nov 26

6 weeks down, 14 weeks to go.

Short term goal. Hit as many training sessions as possible. So up the endurance biking and get under 2 1/2 hours for the team at Taupo half in 2 weeks. So the deal is, which ever out of the 3 of us gives up the most spots owes the other 2 dinner. For Alex's sake it's not her. This should be a lot of fun finally racing as a family.

So off to the pool for Alex's swimming while we spent the morning doing a wind trainer session and a run. My legs were still tired or actually not strong enough. No wonder I struggled in Auckland.

We spent the day shopping for Alex's birthday and Christmas. Very nice spending the day with Jane just hanging out without having deadlines and stress. Having got our training out of the way early helps too. We had dinner with Jane's parents since they won't be here for Christmas or Margaret's birthday. Watched election stuff for a change. I haven't voted too much in the past but did this time as I now begin to appreciate the liberty we all take for granted.
